Have any extra coats?
Students for Justice and Peace is hosting a coat and winter-wear drive during November. Coats, sweaters, hats, mittens, gloves or scarves can be dropped off in the CILCE office, Room 153, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
The drive will benefit the Karen Organization of Minnesota, whose mission is to help integrate the Karen people and other refugees from Burma and Thailand into life in Minnesota. Coming from a tropical region, most of the Karen people have never experienced the harsh winters of Minnesota, so all donations will be greatly appreciated.
St. Paul is home to the largest population of Karen outside southeast Asia.
