Women's soccer team chosen to play in NCAA tournament

The UST women's soccer team, MIAC regular season champion with a 9-0-2 record, has been chosen to participate in the 61-team NCAA women's soccer playoffs.

The Tommies open play against Loras College (Iowa) in a four-team regional tournament at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

The Tommies leave for Stevens Point at 7:45 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 14, from Parking Lot H.

"Please come out and wish them good luck as they board the bus and leave campus Friday morning," said Matt Gustafson,
associate director of Campus Life, "and show your support for the team as it leaves campus."

 In the other first-round regional game, Stevens Point plays Edgewood (Wisconsin). The championship game will be played at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at Stevens Point.

The Tommies, coached by Sheila McGill, are ranked No. 11 nationally and sport a 14-1-4 record.
