Interested in Ireland’s fabled literature, romantic history, and Celtic, Catholic spirit? Come on along to short presentations on the many opportunities to study Ireland offered at St. Thomas. Meet other students who share your interests. Meet this year’s O’Shaughnessy Prize poet Pat Boran from Dublin!
An Irish Studies information session will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 14, in Room 108 ("Leather Room"), O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center.
Suzanne Lentz, recently back from the University of Limerick, will talk about her time there and her studies as an Irish Studies major. Fionntán Ó Mordha (UST) and Eddie Kelleher (University of Limerick) will explain how to study the Irish language here and in County Galway, Ireland. Sarah Huesing from International Education will outline the opportunities that St. Thomas students have to study in Ireland. Thomas Dillon Redshaw, director of the Center for Irish Studies, will explain the ins-and-outs of getting an Irish Studies minor.
