Bye, Theisen sweep MIAC Student-Athlete of the Year awards
St. Thomas' Maria Bye and P.J. Theisen swept the female and male MIAC Student-Athlete of the Year awards, named by College Sporting News.
Theisen competed in football, and track and field. Bye competed in softball.
The third annual award honors one female and one male for career excellence in athletics, academics, and campus and community service. It's the first time St. Thomas has had a winner and the first time one institution has swept the honor.
