Featured artists include Zach Dolinaj, Amanda Herman, Olga Ivanova, Hernan Navarrete, Julie Risser and Laura Thayer. The six photographers in this exhibition are all notable for their willingness to surrender to the imperative to move. They have made significant alterations in their lives and they document, both in words and photographs, how the paths they chose changed their lives.

Their vision may change but the eye remembers. The ability to look forward without denying the past is what makes these works of art, while expressive of a moment in time, redolent of the histories of the artists and their cultures. They are, in a way, contradictions that express growth and the continuity that growth brings.

This exhibition is offered in conjunction with the 2011 Sacred Arts Festival and  Interfaith Art pARTners.

Please note: The gallery will be closed during spring break March 21 to 27.
