Association for Strategic Planning breakfast event is Nov. 18

Dawn Koza, executive consultant for Personnel Decisions International, will speak at the Association for Strategic Planning breakfast series event Tuesday, Nov. 18, in Room 202, Opus Hall, Minneapolis campus.

Her topic is "Strategic Workforce Planning." Registration begins at 7 a.m. followed by breakfast at 7:15 a.m. and Koza's presentation from 7:45 to 9 a.m.

Based on the works of John Boudreau and Pete Ramstad's Beyond HR: The New Science of Human Capital (Harvard Business School Press), this session will discuss how to think more strategically about an organization's number one resource, its people.

Koza consults with organizations in the areas of business strategy, human capital strategy, human resource functional excellence and human capital measurement. Her work spans multiple industries, including retail, health care, pharmaceutical, financial and consumer products.

Before joining PDI in 2007, Koza provided both internal and external human resources consulting to fortune 500 organizations on the identification, development and retention of talent. She has an M.B.A. from Avila University and a B.S. in management and accounting from Union College.
