Campus Ministry announces the Mass schedule for Ash Wednesday
Masses will be held on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 21, marking the beginning of the Lenten season.
Here is the Mass schedule:
- Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas
7 a.m., 12:05 p.m. and 7 p.m.
- St. Mary's Chapel, St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity
11:35 a.m.
- St. Thomas More Chapel, School of Law building, Minneapolis campus
11:30 a.m.
Lent fasting instructions: Catholics over the age of 14 are asked to abstain from eating meat on Ash Wednesday and all Fridays during Lent.
In addition to abstaining from meat, Catholics ages 18 to 59 are asked to fast (eat only one full meal) on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. On these days, smaller quantities of food may be taken at two other meals, but should not equal a full meal together. No food should be consumed at any other time on those days.
