Chuck-a-Puck Challenge at Women's Hockey Game Tonight Benefits Relay for Life

UST-SCU Relay For Life committee members will sell pucks for a Chuck-a-Puck Challenge during the St. Thomas vs. St. Kate’s hockey game tonight.

All proceeds from puck sales will go to UST-SCU Relay for Life fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society. The Chuck-a-Puck Challenge winner will receive a Relay for Life gift basket.

The game will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, at Ridder Arena, 1815 Fourth St. S.E., on the University of Minnesota campus. Pucks will be sold shortly before as well as during the game for $3 or two for $5. During one of the intermission periods, individuals who have purchased pucks will “chuck” them onto the ice. The person who lands his or her puck closest to the face-off dot at center ice wins.

Relay For Life is a 12-hour celebration in which people form teams to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The night of the event, teams keep in mind those affected by cancer as they walk around a track, share a meal, listen to music and participate in activities throughout the night.
