The Graduate School of Professional Psychology has received accreditation renewal for its doctoral program.
In a letter from the American Psychological Association (APA), the school was informed that it had received seven years of reaccreditation. Accreditation outcomes range from being placed on probation to receiving a three-, five- or seven-year interval before the next cycle.
“This result is a testament to the commitment and excellence of our faculty and staff, and the strong support received from the College of Applied Professional Studies and university administration," said Dr. Chris Vye, associate dean for the school.
Bruce Kramer, dean of the College of Applied Professional Studies, stated, "We are very pleased with this result, and we look forward to building on the continued excellence of our Doctorate in Counseling Psychology."
This is the first time that the school’s doctoral program, first accredited in 2000, has received a seven-year outcome.
