The campus community is asked to welcome this week three external organizations that are conducting test preparations, graduation ceremonies and conferences on the university’s St. Paul campus. They are:
- Kaplan Test Preparation will begin a series of classes preparing students to take MCAT, PCAT, and GRE exams. Kaplan also will be on campus in June, July and August, meeting mostly in McNeely Hall.
- On Wednesday, June 1, the University of St. Thomas will host the graduation ceremony for the Lighthouse Academy of Nations in the O’Shaughnessy Educational Center auditorium. Located in Minneapolis, the Lighthouse Academy of Nations values cultural, religious, ethnic, and socioeconomic diversity as central elements of a college preparatory education and provides a caring learning community that prepares students and staff to be responsible world citizens.
- The Minnesota Catholic Home Educators return for its annual conference June 3-4, in the Anderson Recreation and Athletic Complex. More than 900 home school educators will gather for workshops and a curriculum fair. Andrew Pudewa, director of the Institute for Excellence in Writing, will be the keynote speaker.
