Father Mike Joncas Sends Note, is Improving

Father Mike Joncas, professor of theology at St. Thomas, was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome in April and spent three months undergoing treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. He's sent the following note:

“After three months in St. Mary's Hospital at the Mayo Clinic, I'm finally able to communicate using e-mail. I'm now continuing rehab. I'm getting around with wheelchair and walker, but hope to be walking without devices in six months to a year. I won't be teaching fall semester, but hope to be back in the classroom in the spring. Keep me in your prayers."
