Feminist Friday to feature panel discussion Sept. 25

A panel will discuss “Involving Students in Public Service Campaigns on Campus: Positive Body Image and Sexual Violence Prevention” at the next Feminist Friday on Sept. 25.

The discussion will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in the Luann Dummer Center for Women, Room 103, O’Shaughnessy Educational Center. The event is free and open to all. Bring your lunch; dessert and beverages will be provided.

This Feminist Friday will examine a project that was initiated to increase student awareness of positive body image and sexual violence prevention. The project included Student Affairs staff from Campus Life and Personal Counseling who collaborated with Tim Scully’s videography students to create public service announcements.

Join Scully, Communication and Journalism; Deb Broderick, Personal Counseling; and Jese Ledbetter, Campus Life, for a screening and discussion about student perspectives on these topics and the benefit of involving students in public service campaigns.
