International Education Seeks Study-Abroad Photos for Annual Contest

Did you have unforgettable experiences abroad and take hundreds of photos but now are wondering what to do with them? Look no further. The International Education Center at the University of St. Thomas wants your best shots for its annual photo contest.

The contest seeks photos by St. Thomas students who participated in a St. Thomas-affiliated study-abroad, work or volunteer overseas program.

There are three categories in which to enter:

  • An Intercultural Experience – depicts interactions between people and the meeting and mixing of cultures.
  • A Sense of Place – shows places and scenery, capturing the unique atmosphere of the country in which you were a guest.
  • Tommies Abroad – imagery that captures UST student(s) and encapsulates the study-abroad experience.

Photos should be submitted in digital form, with a completed entry form, by Monday, Oct. 15, via email to the Study Abroad Office. Type "Photo Contest" in the subject line.

Photography will be chosen on the basis of creative excellence and quality of execution by a panel of judges that will include designers, photographers and UST staff.

Winning photographers will receive cash prizes between $50 and $100.
