Make plans for Family Weekend Oct. 3-5
The University of St. Thomas Family Weekend 2008 will be held from Friday to Sunday, Oct. 3-5. Invitations were sent to the parents of all new and continuing undergraduate students, and postcards were sent to student on-campus mailboxes with reminders. A variety of activities are planned for students and their families, all of which are free except for a few meals.
Some favorite traditions include the 5K Fun Run/Walk, a diverse slate of faculty lectures, the Parent Network Brat and Chili Fest, the Fall Art Tour, the Tonic Sol Fa concert and the Multicultural Family Reception. This year also will feature a university lecture sponsored by STAR with Jeff Corwin of Animal Planet fame, varsity volleyball games, a family discussion on spirituality and a Game Night in Scooter's.
