Minneapolis Community and Technical College issues alert about a shooting that occurred near its campus
The University of St. Thomas Public Safety Department received a Security Alert from the Minneapolis Community and Technical College with the following information:

An incident occurred on Spruce Street at 3:05 p.m. Friday, March 3. According to reports, a vehicle was stopped in the middle of the street on Spruce near the intersection of Harmon Place. Several men were standing outside of the vehicle near the curb. Several shots were fired from the vehicle at the men standing near the curb. Police located the victim of the shooting at a local hospital. The victim received an injury to his leg. Preliminary police reports indicate the suspect and victim knew each other and the incident was not a random drive-by shooting.
MCTC is working in conjunction with the Minneapolis Police Department to solve this crime. Anyone with information regarding this crime is urged to call the Minneapolis Police Department, (612) 673-2655.
