Tree Lighting Ceremony Kicks Off Holiday Season

University of St. Thomas students, faculty and staff celebrated the holiday season Nov. 28 in the atrium of Anderson Student Center with the 26th annual holiday tree lighting ceremony. Cadenza and The Summit Singers provided cheerful songs, and Santa Claus even stopped by. St. Thomas videographer Brad Jacobsen and photographer Mark Brown captured the festivities.

The university is working to know more about how students, faculty, and staff perceive St. Thomas's climate and level of support for diversity and equity. How can educators and the K-12 system respond to climate change? Dr. Muffet Trout will explore how we are responding to the ecological crisis in K-12 education at the School of Education's December 2022 Dean's Forum. "Culture and the Ecological Crisis: Expanding Our View in Education" will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 4:30 p.m. in MOH 201. Register for the event here.
