Juneteenth MasterClass Registration Closes June 9

In celebration of Juneteenth, the University of St. Thomas Racial Justice Initiative (RJI) invites St. Thomas faculty and staff to its upcoming MasterClass session with Dr. Yohuru Williams: "Nothing but Freedom: Legacy of Emancipation." In this lecture, Williams will explore the afterlife of emancipation and how the freed people helped shape a new future for themselves and the nation. The virtual learning lesson is June 14 at noon. An in-person "AfterClass Social" will follow on June 21. The event is free for St. Thomas faculty and staff when entering the discount code located on the OneStThomas post. Registration is required.

SEED Now Forming Cohorts for 2023-24

Applications are now open for faculty and staff to join the next cohorts of SEED at St. Thomas. Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity is a peer-led professional development program that creates conversational communities to drive personal, organizational, and societal change toward greater equity and diversity. Sponsored by the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the SEED Project is a national program that trains hundreds of educators, parents and community leaders from across the U.S. Cohort seminars get underway in September. Applications are due by Sept. 1.
