Please remember in your prayers Dr. Rawlie Sullivan, a University of St. Thomas professor emeritus of marketing who died of cancer Wednesday, April 23, in Albuquerque, N.M.
Sullivan, who taught at St. Thomas from 1987 until his retirement in 2004, was former chair of the Marketing Department. He is survived by his wife, Mary Kay, who retired from the St. Thomas Mathematics Department in 2002.
The couple moved to the Albuquerque area following his retirement.
During his years at St. Thomas, Sullivan was one of the key factors in St. Thomas' long and close relationship with the Novosibirsk State University in Novosibirsk, Siberia. He helped initiate a sister-city relationship between the Twin Cities and Novosibirsk, Russian's third-largest city.
He traveled frequently to Novosibirsk and consulted with Russian businesses and Russian entrepreneurs.
