Please remember in your prayers Nicholas Spehar, 24, a Navy SEAL who was one of 30 U.S. troops who died when their helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan Saturday, Aug. 6.
Nicholas’ brother, Luke, is a St. Thomas graduate and his sister, Lisa, will start here as a freshman in September. His mother, Annette, formerly worked at the St. John Vianney College Seminary, located on the university’s St. Paul campus, and his uncle, Father Jeffrey Huard, is director of spiritual formation at the St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity.
The Spehar family is from Chisago City.
A Mass was offered for Nicholas at the Chapel of St. Thomas on Tuesday, Aug. 9.
