Please remember in your prayers James Kellen, 84, who died May 9. He was a former St. Thomas librarian and a 1955 graduate, and also received the St. Thomas Distinguished Alumni Award in 1988.
Ann Kenne, head of the Special Collections Department, remembered Kellen as a "fixture in the library," and as a great friend of the Special Collections Department, noting that he gave St. Thomas his personal collection of first edition works authored by the English Catholic writer Hilaire Belloc.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Thursday, May 12, at St. Anthony of Padua Chapel at Catholic Eldercare in Minneapolis. Interment took place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, at Calvary Cemetery, 3415 Calvary Drive, Faribault.
