Please remember in your prayers trustee emeritus Jerome Choromanski, who served on the St. Thomas Board of Trustees from 1975 to 1990. He died Tuesday, Jul. 14, at the age of 88.
Choromanski was a World War II Navy veteran and a University of Minnesota graduate who spent his career in banking. He owned Crystal State Bank in the Twin Cities, as well as an insurance agency and travel service company in Crystal, and was a past president of the Minnesota Bankers Association.
He also was a co-founder of St. Therese Care Center in New Hope and served as a board member of the Catholic senior care and housing organization. He and his wife Ursula received the Aging Services of Minnesota Trustees of the Year Award in 2011 in recognition of their activities.
Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 a.m. Friday, July 17, at the Church of St. Raphael, 7301 Bass Lake Road, Crystal.
