The University of St. Thomas Department of Public Safety has posted an alert regarding an armed robbery at the SuperAmerica located at the corner of Grand and Cleveland Avenues in St. Paul.
At approximately 7 a.m. on Nov. 24, a suspect displayed a handgun to a SuperAmerica store employee and asked for cash. The store employee complied with the request. The suspect fled the store and left heading east on Grand Avenue.
The SuperAmerica employee called the St. Paul Police Department, who responded and searched the area without successfully finding the suspect.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s, wearing a black Carhartt hooded jacket, gloves and black sunglasses.
The University of St. Thomas believes that descriptors alone are not a valid reason to profile or cast suspicion on any individual. They are included here because they may reasonably assist in identifying the perpetrator of this incident.
Anyone with information regarding this crime is urged to call the St. Paul Police Department at (651) 291-1111, or Public Safety at (651) 962-5100.
