Public Safety Alert: UST Employee Reports Indecent Exposure Incident Near Minneapolis Campus

Public Safety would like to alert the University of St. Thomas community of an indecent exposure incident that occurred in the 11th Street and Harmon Place parking ramp, near the Minneapolis campus.

At approximately 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 31, a UST employee reported she observed a male suspect performing a lewd act when she parked in the Harmon ramp. She reported the incident to a second employee, who contacted Public Safety.

Public Safety officers arrived on scene a short time later. Upon checking the ramp, officers located a white male in a state of undress on the 6th floor. ABM Security, the agency responsible for patrolling the ramp, and the Minneapolis Police Department were contacted.

ABM security and MPD arrived on scene a short time later. The suspect was identified and trespassed from campus. MPD placed the suspect under arrest and transported him to jail.

The suspect was a white male, 48 years old, bald with hair along the side and back of his head, a thick, red beard and mustache, wearing camouflage pants, a brown jacket, and a gray hooded sweatshirt  underneath.

The University of St. Thomas believes that descriptors alone are not a valid reason to profile or cast suspicion on any individual. They are included here because they may reasonably assist in identifying the perpetrator of this incident.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is urged to call the Minneapolis Police Department at (612) 348-2345, or Public Safety at (651) 962-5100.
