Purchasing Services updates commodity codes

New "Commodity Codes" for requisition processing have been published and are available on the Controller's Office Web site. Follow this link and click on "Commodity Codes" to obtain the newly revised list.
The list has been consolidated significantly with an almost 50 percent reduction in the total number of codes. We have improved descriptions and added some needed codes. Keep in mind that you may have to update your existing requisition templates. Contact Purchasing Services if you have templates that you would like deleted.
We hope you will find the new list more user friendly and thank you for your patience on this project.
