Quit Smoking – Start Spring With a Smile

Soon the weather will be feeling a bit more like spring – a good time to quit smoking and turn over a healthy new leaf.

Students: If you’ve considered quitting and need some extra support, stop by the Wellness Center to grab a quit kit. Each kit contains nicotine gum with instructions on how to properly use the gum, mints, chewing gum and other resources to guide you through the process of quitting smoking. You also will have the opportunity to sign up for support emails with tips and encouragement to help you along the way.

Funding for the quit kits was provided by the Michael Larson Memorial Fund, which was established through a generous donation by the family of Michael Larson, a St. Thomas sophomore who died in a house fire in 2010. The fund was established to promote fire prevention and smoking cessation programs. This time, quit smoking for a good cause.
