Please remember in your prayers Mona Morrison Hoffman, mother of Professor Emerita Trudi Taylor, College of Education, Leadership and Counseling. Hoffman, 94, of White Bear Lake, died peacefully Monday, Jan. 27. At her request, there were no formal services.
Her remains will be a teaching tool at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Memorial contributions are welcome at UNICEF and World Vision.
Daughter of Anderson (College) University founding president Dr. John A. Morrison and Eunice Drennen Morrison, and wife of writer and professor Arthur Hoffman, she was a beloved resident of Anderson and Pendleton, Ind., for most of her remarkable life.
A graduate of Anderson College (B.A.) and Ball State University (M.A.), she will be especially remembered for hundreds of performances with the Hoffman Family Singers; as a life-changing music teacher; as a member of the Park Place Church of God Choir, Civic Women’s Club, Meg March, and Town and Gown; as director of the Pendleton Easter Pageant; and as the accompanist for Dorothy Blevins Shoppe style shows and countless civic, church, and theatrical productions.
