Mary Louise Klas, a retired Ramsey County District Court judge, will give the next breakfast talk in a series co-sponsored by St. Olaf Catholic Church and the John A. Ryan Institute for Catholic Social Thought at the University of St. Thomas.
The ecumenical “Faith and Work Breakfast” will be held from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, in Fleming Hall of St. Olaf Catholic Church, 215 S. Eighth St., Minneapolis.
In her talk, "Anger: Cause or Effect? Power and Control in the Workplace," she will examine why an imbalance of power can lead to wrath – both in those with more power and those with less.
Now in their 15th year, the Faith and Work Breakfasts deal with the personal challenges of faith-and-work integration and are designed for professionals from all faiths. The theme of this year’s series is: "Sin at Work: A Contemporary Look at Vice and Virtue in the Workplace."
The final speaker in the series will be Archbishop John Nienstedt on April 15.
