School of Law, Law and Lawyers' Council on Social Justice present Constitutional re-hearing

The UST School of Law and the Lawyers' Council on Social Justice will present the second annual Constitutional Re-Hearing: Lochner v. New York on Tuesday, March 17.

In Lochner v. New York (1905), the U.S. Supreme Court held the "right to free contract" was implicit in the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. The case involved a New York law that limited the number of hours a baker could work each week.

The event will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Law School's Moot Courtroom. The Law School is located on the university's Minneapolis campus, 1000 LaSalle Ave. A reception will follow the event.
