Sociology, criminal justice majors and minors: Apply for John C. Gessner scholarship

Sociology and criminal justice majors and minors are invited to apply for the $1,400 John C. Gessner Memorial Scholarship in Sociology. One scholarship will be awarded this year.

Gessner was a popular member of the Sociology Department from 1985 to 1991. He died in 1991 while he was serving as chair of the department. After his death, his family established a scholarship in his memory.

Applications are available on the sociology bulletin board across from Room 438, O’Shaughnessy Educational Center. Applications should be submitted to Dr. William Kinney by 5 p.m. Thursday, April 6, in Room 446, O’Shaughnessy Educational Center.
