Spring Fitness Classes Begin Week of Feb. 14

Spring fitness classes will begin the week of Monday, Feb. 14, at the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex. The classes are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and are open to all St. Thomas undergraduate students, graduate/professional students, faculty and staff who are ARC members.

Classes cost $50 for a package of eight one-hour sessions. Each class meets twice a week for four weeks. All classes will be held in one of ARC’s aerobic studios, Room 112 or 113. New classes this semester are Sculpt, TRX and Zumba.

Register by calling or stopping in at the Box Office, (651) 962-6137. The Box Office is located in the lower level of Murray-Herrick Campus Center.

Sculpt
Mondays and Wednesdays
5-6 p.m.

Sculpt is a yoga-inspired workout that tones your whole body. Free weights used in the class allow you to personalize the intensity of your workout. Sculpt will build lean muscle, burn calories and boost your metabolism.

Spinning
Tuesdays and Thursdays
6:15-7:15 a.m.

Do you love to work up a serious sweat and burn a lot of calories? Then spinning is for you. In this one-hour class participants simulate road cycling on stationary bikes while guided by an instructor and motivated by high-energy music.

TRX
Mondays and Wednesdays
6:15-7:15 a.m.

TRX features high-intensity resistance-suspension training. These intense workouts will build your strength, balance and flexibility, and will  push your body to the next level. Are you ready for the challenge?

Yoga
Mondays and Wednesdays, 4-5 p.m.
Or
Tuesdays and Thursdays, noon-1 p.m.

Unwind after class with this beginner-level class. Yoga increases flexibility, strength and endurance.

Zumba
Tuesdays and Thursdays
5-6 p.m.

This class will incorporate all aspects of an energizing, calorie burning workout. This easy-to-follow Latin-inspired dance aerobics will move every part of your body. A sure way to fire anyone up!
