St. Catherine Choral Society to perform Mozart's 'Requiem' April 30

The St. Catherine Choral Society will celebrate the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth with a performance of the composer's last work, the "Requiem (K. 626)" at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at the Church of St. Luke, 1079 Summit Ave., St. Paul.

St. Thomas faculty and staff members who sing with the Choral Society include Liza Burr, writer and researcher in Justice and Peace Studies Program; Lorman Lundsten, Marketing Department chair; and John Krebsbach, associate dean for Academic Advising and Special Programs.

Soloists Kristie Tiggs, soprano; KrisAnne Weiss, mezzo-soprano; John De Haan, tenor; and Roy Kallemeyn, bass, will perform with the 90-voice choir and an orchestra of professional musicians, conducted by Dr. Patricia Connors.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for those age 18 and under.
