Steve Rentz joins Academic Counseling

The Academic Counseling office welcomes Steve Rentz to the University of St. Thomas. He began his duties as an academic counselor on Oct. 24.

Rentz received his B.A. (communication studies) from Winona State University and his M.A. (organizational leadership) at Bethel University. His most recent work experience was at Walden University, where he served as an academic adviser in the School of Health and Human Services. Rentz also has served as the director of volunteer services at St. Mary’s University and as a residence hall coordinator at Vincennes Community College.

The Academic Counseling office at St. Thomas assists students with degree-evaluation checks, core curriculum and major field requirements, major- and minor-field choices, student-professor conflicts, locating campus resources, and other matters to assist students with academic progress.
