Student organization: American Marketing Association meets tomorrow

Student organization: American Marketing Association meets tomorrow

Are you a marketing major?  Are you interested in meeting other marketing majors?  Do you want to begin making professional contacts?  Have you been wondering about what types of jobs are available to marketing majors?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, then check out the St. Thomas chapter of the American Marketing Association.  The AMA is here to help you market your future!

Why should you join?  There are three reasons: for fun, for your future, and for food and speakers.  Speakers from multiple areas of marketing have been invited to meetings to provide AMA members with varied knowledge of the marketing world. In addition, several other types of programs have been planned this year.

The UST AMA meets from noon to 1 p.m. every other Tuesday in Room 126, John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts.  The first meeting of the 2006-2007 school year will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 26.  Come for lunch, provided by Little Caesar's, and more information about the club. Beth Fischer of the TCI Group will speak.

The University of St. Thomas chapter of the American Marketing Association offers UST marketing majors several unique opportunities related to their interests in business.  AMA gives its members the chance to interact with other students in their major field, to network with professionals in the business community, and to gain a better understanding of marketing and related fields through a wide variety of speakers.  AMA is active in the St. Thomas community, and it is an important resource for all marketing majors.

Information regarding AMA membership, including application and dues, will be available at tomorrow's meeting.
