Philosophy Club to discuss 'Hurricane Katrina and Media Ethics'

The UST Philosophy Club will meet at noon today (Sept. 27) to discuss "Hurricane Katrina and Media Ethics" in Room 246, John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts.

The nature of how the media conveys news is one of the hotly debated topics today. How much media is too much media? Is shock value a good motivating factor? How does the media balance ethics with coverage? Come and join the club for some discussion and debate on the ethics of media in light of natural disasters.

As always, free pizza and pop will be available.
