Town Hall Forum on community building in St. Paul is April 2

Join the Community Justice Project (CJP) of the UST Legal Services Clinic and St. Paul chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) for a Town Hall Forum on community building.

The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 2, in the main cafeteria of the Martin Luther King Center 270 Kent St., in St. Paul.

The Town Hall Forum will focus on bridge building with community stakeholders and integrating practical solutions to address community concerns and racial disparities in law enforcement procedures. It will feature a brief overview of the Community Justice Project and research conducted by CJP students. It also will feature personal testimonials from community members and leaders.

The focus of CJP is to create systemic policy changes. CJP students have conducted research related to community policing models, problem-solving techniques and cross-cultural competency training. Personal accounts, feedback and other relevant information derived from the forum will be incorporated into CJP's research.

This event is free and open to the public. If you have an interest in the furtherance of social justice and community building, don't miss this discussion.
