The University of St. Thomas provides tuition assistance to eligible employees, their spouses and dependents in accordance with the Tuition Remission Policy. The deadline to apply for fall 2016 tuition remission is Tuesday, Sept. 6.
To receive tuition remission benefits at St. Thomas, the tuition remission application must be completed and submitted prior to the first day of classes for the academic term in which the employee, spouse or dependent(s) are requesting remission. Refer to the Tuition Remission Deadline Calendar for the 2016-17 application deadlines. Applications submitted after the deadline will be subject to finance charges, and any request submitted after the course has been completed will be declined. All applications must be submitted online.
If a dependent child tuition remission application already has been submitted for the current 2016-17 academic year, then no further action is necessary.
As with any benefit, it is important to periodically review the guidelines to ensure eligibility and be aware of any restrictions or tax implications.
