Undergraduate students invited to present research at poster session on May 11

Students who have done recent collaborative work with a faculty member are invited to present that work in a poster session called Inquiry at UST. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Thursday, May 11, in the foyer of the Owens Science Hall. Food will be available during the poster session.

This event is supported by a grant from the Bush Foundation.

Participants: Invite your friends, colleagues and relatives. Students’ abstracts will be published in a bound volume and distributed for free. You will receive a stipend of $50 and a printed certificate of participation.

Students should submit the following information via e-mail to Dr. Vanca Schrunk, History Department, by Thursday, May 4, (using MS Word in a 12-point Arial font; no graphics; capital letters for names and titles only).

Here’s what you should include in your e-mail:

  • Name
  • Title
  • Faculty collaborator
  • Abstract or summary of 300 words maximum

Posters will be foam-core boards that are 3 feet by 5 feet in dimension and set up on an easel.  Push pins will be provided to attach your materials to the board.  Do not write on the poster board. Students will stand by their poster for one hour and 15 minutes and discuss their work with any interested passers-by.

Further specification about the posters is given at the Bush Foundation Grant Inquiry at UST Web page.
