Up ’til Dawn congratulates medallion hunt winners Chris Hnasko and Nick VanDenBroeke

Chris Hnasko and Nick VanDenBroeke, both SJV students, found the Up ’til Dawn medallion on Friday, Sept. 16.  The medallion was located in the O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center, in a book titled Understanding Leukemia by Cynthia P. Margolies and Kenneth B. McCredie.  Both students received a T-shirt and a St. Jude Nalgene bottle.

Up ’til Dawn is a campuswide and nationwide philanthropy project to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  This is a student-led event and you are invited to get involved. Just gather a team of six people to raise funds for the hospital. All fundraising leads up to the finale event held in the spring where participants celebrate and stay “Up ’til Dawn.”  This organization does not require a large time commitment and it provides a great way to help out children with cancer.  Up ’til Dawn participants say, “Cancer doesn’t sleep, neither do we.”

If you are interested in getting involved, contact: Jenny Perusek, Up ’til Dawn executive director, Mail # 236, (763) 913-6640.
