UST Cycling Opens First Season With 1-2 finishes

Bikers of UST Cycling must pedal good bikes because they sure are off to a fast – very, very fast – start, earning first- and second-place finishes in the team’s first two races.

The UST Cycling team opened is first-ever season at the Panther Invitational April 7 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and then raced in Wildcat Weekend April 14-15 in Manhattan, Kan.

The racers, James Blaschko, Matt Ghiloni and Tim Savre, competed against collegiate competition in a division that features the best of those who have not ridden in 10 or more mass-start races.

April 7, Panther Prowl, Cedar Falls, Iowa
Race: 35-mile road race

Race: 50-mile road race

The team will race again Saturday and Sunday, April 28-29, in  Cannon Falls and St. Paul, respectively.
