University of St. Thomas Campus Gets Facelift

“Noted Islamic theologian and scholar Sheikh Odeh A. Muhawesh shared his view Monday at Winona State University of the similarities and often exaggerated differences between Christians and Muslims. Regional tech advocates launch Heartland Technology Alliance
“A group of Midwest technology advocates launched the Heartland Technology Alliance on Monday, an association that aims to educate consumers, businesses and policymakers on high-tech issues and trends across five states. … The group said it hopes to offer six to eight educational events a year. The first such event will be held on Oct. 28 at St. Thomas University in St. Paul.” Star Tribune.com, Sept. 27.

Area priests learn about praying the new Roman Missal
 “There will be homework for every Catholic — lay or clergy — to do before the new Roman Missal is implemented in Advent of 2011, and it offers an opportunity for increased faith formation and deeper understanding of the Mass. Father Jan Michael Joncas and Vicki Klima of the Archdiocese of Minneapolis/St. Paul offered the second session of “Praying the Texts of the New Roman Missal” to Cincinnati archdiocesan clergy Sept. 23-24."
