“Dorm Fire Demo on St. Thomas Campus,” KMSP, Oct. 3, 2011. “St. Paul firefighters are giving student at the University of St. Thomas a dorm fire demonstration almost a year after a sophomore died in an off-campus house fire.”

“St. Paul Fire Schools Students with Dorm-Room Fire Demo,” KSTP, Oct. 4, 2011. “Twin Cities students watched as fire consumed a typical dorm room in a fiery show-and-tell on the dangers of fires in student housing in St. Paul Tuesday.”

“Famed architect makes stop at Gainey Center in Owatonna,” Owatonna People’s Press, Oct. 6, 2011. “World-renowned architect Frank Gehry traveled Sunday to Owatonna to see a guest house he designed open on the grounds of St. Thomas at the Daniel C. Gainey Center.”

“20-year-old Hastings man dies in crash near Hager City, Wis.,” Hastings Star Gazette, Oct. 4, 2011. “A 20-year-old Hastings man died Monday afternoon at Regions Hospital in St. Paul as a result of injuries suffered when his car struck a large truck on Hwy. 35, about two miles northwest of Hager City, Wis.”

“Aaron M. Schuster, 20,” Hastings Star Gazette, Oct. 4, 2011. “Aaron M. Schuster, age 20, of Hastings, passed away Oct. 3, 2011, in a motor vehicle accident.”

“Winton Guest House: A Frank Gehry Design Transplanted,” Huffington Post, Oct. 5, 2011. “This small city has long been a popular stop for travelers interested in architecture because of its Louis Sullivan bank, considered by some to be Frank Gehry's best. On Sunday, Gehry himself stopped by.”

“Ruben Rosario: Aging St. Paul couple losing home to alleged family deceit,” Pioneer Press, Oct. 5, 2011. “Joseph Hernandez, all of 93, is a decorated World War II combat veteran with two Purple Hearts and a nasty scar on his head from a bullet. His bride of 66 years, Stella Hernandez, 83, was a Rosie the Riveter during the war, over at St. Paul's Holman Field, and owns more colorful hats than Imelda Marcos owned shoes.”
