The city of St. Paul will receive “Beyond the Yellow Ribbon” recognition at the St. Paul Saints' Military Appreciation Night on Thursday, May 17. The University of St. Thomas participated in the city of St. Paul's “Beyond the Yellow Ribbon” subcommittee on education.
Members of the St. Thomas community are invited to attend the game. Free tickets are available to veterans and active military. Governor Mark Dayton will recognize the city of St. Paul as a “Beyond the Yellow Ribbon” community with a ceremony that will begin at 6:45 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m.
The Saints will face the Gary Southshore Rail Cats. Up to six tickets per person may be redeemed from the Saints' box office with a voucher and valid military ID. The offer is subject to availability. Additional tickets may be purchased through Tommie Central in the Anderson Student Center for $10.
The goal of the “Beyond the Yellow Ribbon” program is to unite all areas within a community to create a comprehensive network that connects and coordinates agencies, organizations, resources and employers for the purpose of proactively supporting service members and military families.
