VIA asks: How do you spend your free time?

How are you spending your free time? You may want to consider volunteering some of that time through VIA

VIA, Volunteers In Action, is a student-run organization that provides St. Thomas students with the opportunity to interact with the St. Paul-Minneapolis community through service. Giving even a couple of hours a week can make a difference in someone’s life.

Volunteer sites for spring 2010 are:

  • CLUES
  • Adopt-A-Grandparent
  • Boys and Girls Club
  • Tommies Park and Rec

Applications are available beginning today, Monday, Feb. 15, outside the Center for Intercultural Learning and Community Engagement, Room 153, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. Applications are due back to CILCE by Monday, Feb. 22.

For more information about the volunteer sites, stop by VIA’s table at the Activities Fair from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, in Murray-Herrick Campus Center, or e-mail Brittney Tegels.
