Wellness House seeks resident hosts for 2007-2008
The Wellness Center is accepting applications for Wellness House student resident hosts for the 2007-2008 school year. The house is located at 2080 Grand Ave., just down the street from Davanni's Pizza.
Host responsibilities include: generating programming ideas, hosting events, promoting and working with the Wellness Center, and maintaining a substance-free environment.
Resident hosts will experience next-to-campus living in the St. Thomas-owned house. They will have private bedrooms, free laundry and off-street parking. Grounds maintenance, such as mowing, raking and shoveling, also is provided.
The rent is $375 for a 12-month lease and $400 for a nine-month lease. Preference will be given to groups of four that apply, but individuals and groups of three also are encouraged to apply.
This is a leadership opportunity for an undergraduate student with a genuine interest and commitment to the promotion of the health and well-being of the St. Thomas community.
The Wellness Center, located in the lower level of Koch Commons, will accept applications from Wellness House resident host candidates through 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13. Interviews will be held on Friday, Feb. 16, and decisions will be made by Tuesday, Feb. 20.
Applications are available on the Wellness Center Web page.
