Wish the women's cross country team well as it leaves for national meet
The St. Thomas women's cross country team placed third of 26 teams at Saturday's NCAA Central Region Championships in Oakland Acres, Iowa, and in the process earned a berth in the national meet this weekend.
Coach Joe Sweeney’s team will be making its fourth consecutive trip to the national meet, which will be held Saturday, Nov. 22, in Hanover, Ind.
Chad Henderson, Campus and Residence Life, invites the UST community to congratulate the team and wish it well this morning as the runners board their bus to leave for Indiana.
The team will board the bus at 8:45 a.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 20, in Parking Lot H.
"This is an exciting time for these women," Henderson said. "Let’s show them how proud we are of their accomplishment. See you there!"
