Women's center to screen 'The Good Girl' tomorrow morning

Luann Dummer Center for Women will host a screening of the 2002 movie "The Good Girl," from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 29, in the center, Room 103, O'Shaughnessy Educational Center.

Jennifer Aniston plays Justine, who faces a boring and routine life working at a discount store and married to her pot-smoking husband (John C. Reilly) until she meets fellow worker Holden (Jake Gyllenhaal). Their affair brings fleeting comfort for Justine and threatens to ruin her marriage and reputation. But, as the affair heats into an obsession, Justine must decide whether to keep the life she has or leave it behind.

The story is a modern reworking of Flaubert's Madame Bovary and raises a question of the dignity of women's work in light of the kind of work in which most women are engaged.

Light refreshments will be served.
