In celebration of Women’s History Month, Sheryl WuDunn will deliver the 19th annual Luann Dummer Lecture on Wednesday, March 7. Her talk is based on Half the Sky: Turning Oppression Into Opportunity for Women Worldwide, a book she co-wrote with her husband, Nicholas Kristof.
The Luann Dummer Center for Women also will conduct discussions of the book prior to the lecture:
- Wednesday, Feb. 29 – noon
- Monday, March 5 – 3 p.m.
- Tuesday, March 6 (led by students in Foundations of Women’s Studies) – 11:45 a.m.
All of these discussions will be held in the women’s center, located in Room 103, O’Shaughnessy Educational Center. Fifty copies of WuDunn’s book are available for these discussions. Those who wish to participate should email Pat Alexander and include their UST mail numbers and choices of discussion group from the dates listed above. All participants will receive a free copy of the book.
