Workshops help us enhance our community's climate
I recommend you consider two important workshops presented by our Leadership Academy that are especially important to St. Thomas' future: one is for all faculty and staff, and the second is specifically for supervisors. Both relate to the topic of "climate" at St. Thomas.
Dr. Lawrence Potter, new executive director of institutional diversity, will offer "Mission Possible: Making Diversity and Equity Possible Through Affirming Actions" for all faculty and staff from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oc.t 12.
Potter also will present a workshop for managers, "Undertstanding, Utilizing and Managing Diversity," from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13.

Father Dease has urged us to prepare for changing demographics as the university moves into the latter half of this decade. What better way to prepare than to take some time to reflect on how we can enhance the climate for all members of our community?
