Social Work Club, Amnesty International sponsor food drive

Social Work Club and Amnesty International are teaming up with Minnesota Foodshare in a special effort to stock Neighborhood House's Food Shelf. The food drive will last through Monday, March 31.

Donations will help feed hungry children, families and seniors.

Donations to the Neighborhood House Food Shelf will earn a proportional match from Minnesota Foodshare and a challenge grant from the Fein stein Foundation. (One pound is equivalent to $1.)

  • Summit Classroom Building
  • McNeely Hall
  • Ireland Hall (basement)

Neighborhood House's food shelf serves an average of 26 families a day. Forty percent of participants are immigrants or refugees, 40 percent are employed, 22 percent are living on Social Security benefits, and 50 percent are children.
