To mark the 15th anniversary of 9/11, Christopher Michaelson, associate professor of ethics and business law, and Jennifer Tosti-Kharas, assistant professor of organizational behavior at Babson College, wrote "Work Worth Dying For," for the Huffington Post, to examine why people work and if it should be for more than a paycheck or promotion. Michaelson and Tosti-Kharas identify three ways in which people often view work, as either a calling, career or job, and which viewpoint tends to give workers the most meaning in their lives.
